SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of November 19-November 23, 2018, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James

Ascension Parish:

  1. Everett Maiden, 9449 Langham Dr. Baton Rouge, LA., age 19, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (2 counts) and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  2. Dillan Morrissey, 18624 Broussard Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 25, pled guilty to Accessory After the Fact to Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  3. Aaron Osterhout, 324 W New River Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (2 counts) and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
  4. Jaleesa Bolding, 1602 S Lanoux Ave. Gonzales, LA., age 29, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
  5. Brad Roddy, 43270 Moody Dixon Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 39, pled guilty to Obstruction of Justice and was sentenced to 2 years in the parish jail with credit for time served.
  6. Timothy Davis Jr., 42247 LA 931 Gonzales, LA., age 28, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
  7. Alexander Howard, 18870 Bienville Ct. Prairieville, LA., age 29, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Resisting a Police Officer with Force or Violence. The defendant was sentenced to 8 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Joni Buquoi and Shawn Bush. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Jessie LeBlanc.

Assumption Parish:

Assumption Parish had no court news to report this week.

St. James Parish:

  1. Disean Ester, 6119 Badeaux St. Convent, LA., age 18, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (3 counts) and was sentenced to 7 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
