SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of May 8-May 12, 2017, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, Parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish: 

  1. Timothy Anweiler, 2456 Hwy 44 Paulina, LA., age 30, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery and Disturbing the Peace. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  2. Matthew Cannon, 41415 Narvie Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 34, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (2 counts), Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Driving Under Suspension, and Theft Valued at Less than $750. On the charges of Simple Burglary and Theft of a Motor Vehicle, the defendant was sentenced to 8 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count to run concurrent with one another. On the charges of Driving Under Suspension and Theft Valued at Less than $750, the defendant was sentenced to 6 months in the parish jail with credit for time served on each count to run concurrent with one another. It was further ordered that the imposed sentences are to be suspended, and the defendant is to be placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  3. Guy Coupel, 1004 Bayou Dr. Pierre Part, LA., age 24, pled guilty to Theft of Goods and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  4. Shannon Eidissen, 601 Bourg St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 46, pled guilty to Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling and Resisting an Officer. On the charge of Simple Burglary, the defendant was sentenced to 3 years at hard labor with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. On the charge of Resisting an Officer, the defendant was sentenced to 6 months in the parish jail with credit for time served. It was further ordered that the imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another. 
  5. Danielle Grigsby, 16472 Lone Lake Dr. Prairieville, LA., age 37, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $750 or More, but Less than $5000 and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  6. Travarious Hankton, 5523 Prescott Ln. Baton Rouge, LA., age 27, pled guilty to Simple Burglary, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Auto Burglary. On the charge of Simple Burglary, the defendant was sentenced to 6 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. On the charge of Theft of a Motor Vehicle, the defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. On the charge of Auto Burglary, the defendant was sentenced to 6 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. It was ordered that all of the imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another. 
  7. Christopher Rodriguez, 12833 Alysha Dr. Gonzales, LA., age 19, pled guilty to False Personation of a Peace Officer (3 counts) and Simple Robbery. On the charge of False Personation of a Peace Officer, the defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. On the charge of Simple Robbery, the defendant was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. It was further ordered that all of the imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another. 
  8. Oliver Solomon, 35034 LA Hwy 1 N Donaldsonville, LA., age 21, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery and Disturbing the Peace. On the charge of 2nd Degree Battery, the defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. It was ordered that 1 year of the imposed sentence is to be served, and the remaining 4 years of the said sentence are to be suspended. Upon Release, the defendant is to be placed on 3 years supervised probation. On the charge of Disturbing the Peace, the defendant was sentenced to 45 days in the parish jail with credit for time served. The imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another. 
  9. Jimmy Stoetzner, 42345 N Billville Rd. Hammond, LA., age 38, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $750 or More, but Less than $5000 and Forgery. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count. The imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another. 
  10. Gregory Carter, 9039 S St. Landry St. Gonzales, LA., age 42, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 6 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. 
  11. Terrell Dyson, 37313 Hwy 74 Gonzales, LA., age 40, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  12. David Little, 64299 S River Rd. Roseland, LA., age 22, pled guilty to Armed Robbery, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile. On the charge of Armed Robbery, the defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. This sentence is to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. On the charge of Possession of Methamphetamine, the defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. On the charge of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, the defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. It was further ordered that all of the imposed sentences are to run consecutive to one another.
  13. Christopher Pierce, 37399 Quiet Lake Dr. Prairieville, LA., age 47, pled guilty to Public Intimidation and Simple Battery. On the charge of Public Intimidation, the defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. On the charge of Simple Battery, the defendant was sentenced to 6 months in the parish jail with credit for time served, to be suspended. The imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another. 
  14. Adam Plaisance, 17431 Summerfield North Prairieville, LA., age 42, pled guilty to Aggravated Battery and Simple Criminal Damage to Property under $500.The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. It was ordered that the defendant is to serve 1 year of the imposed sentence, and the remaining 4 years of the said sentence are to be suspended. Upon release, the defendant is to be placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  15. Marcus Walker, 409 W 3rd Donaldsonville, LA., age 33, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentence d to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Correction with credit for time served. It was ordered that the defendant must serve 2 years of the imposed sentence, and the remaining 3 years are to be suspended. Upon Release, the defendant is to be placed on 5 years supervised probation. 
  16. Kenneth Wells, 5261 Hemingway S Darrow, LA., age 49, pled guilty to DWI 3rd Sentencing is tentatively set for August 14, 2017. 
  17. Dionte Windsor, 2023 South Allen Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 22, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation and Simple Criminal Damage to Property. On the charge of Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation, the defendant was sentenced to 2 years at hard labor with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. On the charge of Simple Criminal Damage to Property, the defendant was sentenced to 6 months in the parish jail with credit for time served. The imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another. 
  18. Rodney Lewis, 811 Pine St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 39, pled guilty to Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery. Sentencing was deferred pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation. 
  19. Chad Roddy, 17295 JT Roddy Prairieville, LA., age 22, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 7 ½ years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The defendant is to serve 1 year of the imposed sentence, and the remaining 6 ½ years are to be suspended. Upon release, the defendant is to be placed on 5 years supervised probation.

  1. Justin Sepeda, 13502 Airline Hwy Gonzales, LA., age 27, pled guilty to Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor and Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years at hard labor with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count. It was ordered that the imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another. It was further ordered that the imposed sentence is to be served with about benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence and the defendant must register and notify as a sex offender. 
  2. Tyler Hilburn, 12725 Arnold Rd. Walker, LA., age 29, pled guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Moveable and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  3. Amy Lowery, 1501 W Young Ave. Silwell OK., age 35, pled guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  4. Brian Chadwick, 38045 Tupelo St. Gonzales, LA., age 32, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance (Heroin), Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (Methamphetamine), and Possession of a Legend Drug Without Prescription or Order. On the charges of Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of a Legend Drug Without Prescription or Order, the defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count. On the charge of Attempted Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous substance, the defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of corrections with credit for time served. It was further ordered that all of the imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another.

Assumption Parish: 

  1. Jacob Dugas, 1014 Bayou Dr. Pierre Part, LA., age 30, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance (Heroin) and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. 
  2. Cerena Lewis, 6560 Hwy 1 Belle Rose, LA., age 25, pled guilty to Monetary Instrument Abuse and Bank Fraud (2 counts). The defendant was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
