SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of May 6 – May 10, 2019, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish:  

  1. Kentrell Johnson, 3046 Mt. Olive Lane Donaldsonville, LA., age 34, pled guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Movable, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Resisting an Officer. The defendant was sentenced to 12 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 12 months supervised probation.
  2. Anna Biro, 1524 Brookfield Dr. Denham Springs, LA., age 34, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation.
  3. Ricky Lane, 3612 Dalten St. Baton Rouge, LA., age 57, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Theft Valued at Less than $1,000. The defendant was sentenced to 12 months in the parish jail with credit for time served.
  4. Kayla McNeely, 37301 Anderson Rd. Geismar, LA., age 27, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  5. Porsche Favorite, 5691 Villa Lane Carville, LA., age 29, pled guilty to Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 42 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  6. Chad Hengst, 170313 Dyes Rd. Denham Springs, LA., age 35, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation.
  7. Ivan Graham, 12232 Martinez Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 24, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
  8. Denzel Gray, 100 Fourth St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Illegal Carrying of Weapons, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts). The defendant was sentenced to 8 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Charles “Chuck” Long, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Tess Stromberg.
