SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of January 27 – January 31, 2020, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish:

  1. Anthony Summerall, Liberty, MS., age 26, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Phil Maples, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Thomas Kliebert.

Assumption Parish:

  1. Donnell Lawrence, 5458 Brown St. Napoleonville, LA., age 39, pled guilty to DWI 3rd Offense. Sentencing was deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation.
  2. Alan Sylvester, 246 Robin St. Morgan City, LA., age 34, pled guilty to Terrorizing. Sentencing is set for 3/16/20.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Thomas Kliebert.

  1. Ronnie Davis, Napoleonville, LA., age 38, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets.

  1. Xavier Bougere, 113 Fertita Lane Napoleonville, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
  2. Christopher Fair, 141 Gold St. Napoleonville, LA., age 34, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
  3. Brennan Giandelone, 101 Pluto St. Morgan City, LA., age 20, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 1 year supervised probation.
  4. Kevin Daggs, 1001 Caroline St. Thibodaux, LA., age 59, pled guilty to Communication of False Information of Planned Arson and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
  5. Scott Rivere, 1083 St. Vincent Rd. Napoleonville, LA., age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
  6. Lawrence Watkins, 1237 Pace Blvd. New Orleans, LA., age 43, pled guilty to Simple Robbery and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  7. Jacob Bonin, 1080 Benoit Dr. Breaux Bridge, LA., age 20, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (3 counts) and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Lana Chaney, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Alvin Turner Jr.

 St. James Parish:

  1. Carla Alexander, 2438 Lionel Washington St. Lutcher, LA., age 57, pled guilty to Simple Arson and was sentenced to 7 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Adam Koenig, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Tess Stromberg.
