SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of December 17-December 21, 2018, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish:

  1. Hunter Andre, 38353 Thurston Mccrory Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 33, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
  2. Kaleb Avery, 41450 Glen Williams Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 21, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  3. Joseph Baldwin, 17227 Carpenters Chapel Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 32, pled guilty to Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The said sentence is to be served consecutively to any other sentences the defendant is currently serving.
  4. Cary Boudreaux, 44163 Hwy 429 St. Amant, LA., age 41, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  5. Thomas North, 2618 N King Ave. Lutcher, LA., age 40, pled guilty to Aggravated Flight from an Officer and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
  6. Brandon Shaw, Gretna, LA., age 24, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 8 months in the parish jail with credit for time served.
  7. Roderick Thomas, 2633 Park St. New Orleans, LA., age 49, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (2 counts) and was sentenced to 8 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  8. Kaleb Prettelt, 41003 Merritt Evans Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 33, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The said sentence is to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
  9. Katie Ortego, Prairieville, LA., age 33, pled guilty to Theft Valued Over $5,000, but Less Than $25,000. The defendant was sentenced to 6 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
  10. Donald Valentine, 13486 Bayou Grand S Blvd. Gonzales, LA., age 48, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
  11. Leeroy Hernandez, 15096 Beau Jon Ave. Prairieville, LA., age 24, pled guilty to Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The said sentence is to be served consecutively to any other sentences the defendant is currently serving.

Assumption Parish:

  1. Timothy Harris, 1301 Hwy 402 Napoleonville, LA., age 28, pled guilty to Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The said sentence is to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. Upon release from incarceration, Harris must register and notify as a sex offender or child predator for a period of 15 years.
  2. Ardell Skidmore, 132 Skidmore St. Napoleonville, LA., age 29, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
  3. Nicole Gros, Pierre Part, LA., age 39, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  4. Jeremy Johnson, Houma, LA., age 34, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

St. James Parish:

  1. Tevin Collins, 1110 Collins St. Vacherie, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
  2. Terrance Albert, 2386 N Courseault St. Lutcher, LA., age 40, pled guilty to Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
  3. Devan Joseph, 1391 Lutcher Ave. Lutcher, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
  4. Aaron Joshua, 8171 Pleasant Hill St. Convent, LA., age 19, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (3 counts) and was sentenced to 7 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
  5. Darrel Morris, 6128 LA 44 Convent, LA., age 18, pled guilty to Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
  6. Avice Sanchez, 37048 Hwy 74 Geismar, LA., age 38, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  7. Brandon Engham, 3234 Harrison St. Vacherie, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Aggravated Assault with a Motor Vehicle Upon a Peace Officer, Buying and Selling Wild Quadrupeds or Wild Birds, Cervid Carcass Importation, Prohibited Acts Involving Interstate Commerce, and Failing to Keep Records of Commercial Fishing Data. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
  8. Shannon Morgan, 40416 LA 3125 Paulina, LA., age 28, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
  9. Sissy St. Pierre. 2281 Brignac St. St. Rose, LA., age 34, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
