Bayou L’Ourse Man Sentenced for Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile

On July 26, 2017, Randy Lee of 105 N Faith St. Morgan City, LA., age 32, pled guilty to Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. Lee was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets.

On September 13, 2016, detectives with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office received information regarding an incident in which a male subject exposed his genitals to a 16-year-old girl. During an interview of the juvenile, she advised that she had spent the night at a Bayou L’Ourse residence belonging to a male subject identified as Randy Lee. The juvenile advised that while lying on a couch in Lee’s living room, Lee got her attention and proceeded to expose his genitals while masturbating. The juvenile advised that Lee offered her $500 to show him her body. After leaving the residence, the juvenile advised that Lee went to her residence to drop off her belongings. The juvenile advised that when she opened the door of Lee’s vehicle to retrieve her belongings, Lee began masturbating once again. Lee was subsequently arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Jail.

Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charge, Lee’s sentencing was deferred pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation.

On October 25, 2017, Randy Lee appeared before Judge Verdigets for sentencing. Judge Verdigets ordered that Lee be committed to the Louisiana Department of Corrections for a period of 7 years at hard labor with credit for time served. It was further ordered that upon release, Lee must register and notify as a sex offender or child predator for a period of 15 years.
