Baton Rouge Man Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison for Burglary Charge

          On May 14, 2018, Aaron Kimble of 20989 Anderson Rd. Baton Rouge, LA., age 41, pled guilty to Simple Burglary. Kimble was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Leila Braswell, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets. This guilty plea was the result of a plea agreement with prosecutors following a series of residential burglaries in the Gonzales area. 

          Between October 23, 2017 and October 25, 2017, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office received multiple complaints regarding burglaries in a Gonzales neighborhood. During the course of an extensive investigation, Aaron Kimble was developed as a suspect and was actually observed to be in possession of some items taken from the residences. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Kimble who was subsequently apprehended and booked into the Ascension Parish Detention Center.  

          Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charge, as per the plea agreement with prosecutors, Kimble was sentenced to 12 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
